The nose plays a major role in the aesthetics of the face. Since the nose has a pivotal role in the symmetry and proportions of a face, people often put too much emphasis on nasal aesthetics. A successful rhinoplasty or nose job can make a huge difference to one’s facial profile. Every rhinoplasty surgery must be properly planned and implemented so that the results fulfil the client’s expectation. The surgery must be properly discussed beforehand and followed by a simulation to check whether the client is satisfied with the proposed result.
At Cosmetiq Clinic Dr. Bibilash Babu and Dr. Shenol Sasankan always ensures that the first consultation is an informative session. The first consultation usually starts with a facial analysis to check the proportions of the face and look for any anatomic or functional.
Our Procedures
The final procedure selected by the patient can be a Non surgical rhinoplasty, where a dermal filler is used (An Outpatient Procedure) or a Surgical rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is a day care surgery (meaning that the client gets discharged on the same day) at Cosmetiq Clinic.
The complexity of a surgery varies from client to client, depending on the areas of the nose that are getting fixed. Depending on that, a rhinoplasty can be a closed rhinoplasty, in which there are no visible scars on the nose, or an open rhinoplasty. where there will be a small, hardly noticeable scar in the columellar region.

Open Rhinoplasty
This is a rhinoplasty approach where a small bridging incision is made through the columella, which connects the inside nasal incisions. The incision outside the nose is very small and barely noticable within 2 to 3 months after surgery. This approach helps surgeons to have a comprehensive idea about the nasal anatomy and to correct the issues with precision. It has revolutionized the modern nose job to address complex nose problems.
Closed Rhinoplasty
This is another approach in which all the rhinoplasty incisions are performed inside the nose. This closed approach is preferable when addressing dorsum of the nose issues, as well as for treating less complex issues. The type of approach must be carefully selected on an individual basis based on the type of problem getting addressed during surgery.
Filler Nose Job
It is also called a non-surgical nose job. Any issues with nasal appear ances are corrected using hyaluronic acid filler. It is a lunch time pro cedure in the consultation room that takes only 10-15 minutes

Dr. Bibilash has pursued his MCh from the prestigious JIPMER, Pondicherry. After a brief stint at the Klienert Institute, Kentucky, USA, he undertook the much-coveted DAFPRS Fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from Belgium. He is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh UK and Fellow of American College of Surgeons and a member of International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. His further training in Rhinoplasty and hair transplantation was from Turkey and body procedures from the US. He has 34 publications in the field of Plastic and cosmetic surgery in renowned International and National Journals. He is also an Editorial board member of two Journals.

What is the cost of Rhinoplasty Surgery?
Cost depends on the type of rhinoplasty. Generally primary rhinoplasty (first surgery) costs lesser if it utilizes only nose cartilage. For secondary rhinoplasty (redo or post cleft) and if using rib cartilage, costs are higher as procedure is longer and requires more expertise. On an average costs range from 1600-2500USD (1.2-1.8 Lakhs INR)
How to select my rhinoplasty surgeon?
A board-certified plastic surgeon with fellowship/experience in aesthetic surgery or a board-certified ENT surgeon with specialized training in rhinoplasty is the ideal surgeon. Board certification includes MCh/DNB plastic surgery or MS/DNB ENT
Do I need a Rhinoplasty surgery?
How long it will take to recover after the surgery?
How many times I need to visit the hospital for surgery?
The first consultation with the surgeon before surgery in person is important to plan what you want and what can be achieved. This is followed by confirmation of a date for surgery, investigations and a pre anaesthetic check up with our anaesthesiologist. The next visit will be on the day of surgery. The day after the surgery a pack kept inside the nose is removed and nasal drops are given. The next visit is usually after 1 week when the splint and sutures (if the surgery was open rhinoplasty) are removed. A follow up visit at the end of one month would help us to assess remaining swelling and clear any other queries and this can be done even virtually. For a client who is traveling for surgery from abroad can ideally stay back for 2 weeks and minimum for a week.
